Well, as of today, I’m married to a wonderful Christian gal who loves the Lord
and Kodiak as much as I do. Cherie is as committed to my passion of creating
a Pastor’s Retreat as I am. It has become “our” passion. We hosted two
pastors and one missionary couple in '07 and '08. In the summers of '08 and
'09, we built a new guest cabin to provide better accommodations. The
summer of 2010 we had a house in the town of Kodiak to base out of, making it
easier for arrivals and departures. We hosted five pastors in 2010.
We are looking to expand and bring more pastors and missionaries through
our place. We believe that Kodiak Island Experience is a great place for
pastoral renewal. We take just one couple at a time, with a total of seven
couples per year. They will be refreshed in their vision, passionate about their
calling and eager to work smarter, not harder, for their Lord and their ministry.
We believe that every church should find a way to send their pastors
somewhere for a time of rest. If you would like us to contact your church, email
